[Isaac nods and lets her collect her things before following Erica out to the living area, letting her make herself comfortable before he settles onto the couch near her. He tucks his legs under himself then, reaching for his water to take a small drink before he speaks.]
Jo's been rounding up a bunch of people to go on this trip. [Quietly, and Isaac sighs.] Probably dangerous. But she thinks there's something out there- from a note that was found in Odin's office, I guess.
[There's a small pause.]
They leave in the morning. Probably be gone for a few weeks. I just found out this morning, but I've been thinking about it all day.
[She listens to him and she's really glad that her back is to him, because she knows she can't hide the flash of concern to her features. The moment he tells her that Jo is looking for people to go somewhere, she knows that he wants to join them. She doesn't even have to hear that he'd been thinking about it all day. He's always gone out there. Looking for answers, maybe, or just a way to be useful. Honestly, she's pretty sure that's what they all did back home. Running off with werewolves, fighting kanimas and who knows what else, because someone finally needed them and knew that they could be strong enough to handle it.]
Where are they headed? [She almost blindly just asks where is he going, but she doesn't want to assume just yet.]
Uh- it's pretty far off. I don't know if I'm pronouncing it right- Ginnungagap?
[Isaac shrugs, trying not to notice the way Erica's tone has changed from casual to concerned. He knows how it is- knows that everyone he talks to about this will be concerned. But Isaac is also aware that Erica probably won't get on his case about going, either- she might ask him to stay, but she'll accept no for an answer. He likes that about her.]
Either way, I think it'd be nice to get away for awhile. Even if it is in battle.
[In reality it probably doesn't matter where they're headed out. It'll be far away and it'll be dangerous. Those sort of things always are.]
How long will you be away? [There's a small part of her that almost asks if she should come with, but they only recently started making a bit more money with their newly found useful skill of stealing and selling the things they steal and if that supply and demand stops then the demand will just look elsewhere for a supply. She knows she has to stay so that Isaac can have a home when he gets back.]
I'll stay here. Make sure one of us earns a living so that we can keep affording this place. [She doesn't say it as though it's a dig at Isaac. Just her being practical.]
I can try to ask Derek to move in again... but it might be too soon. I'm not sure I want to hear the excuses start up again.
[She moves up to sit next to Isaac on the couch, her hand reaching to hold onto his.] Just be careful. I won't be there to save your ass.

A couple of weeks, I think. It's a pretty long trip and we don't exactly have highways here.
