[Isaac watches her for a moment, because it's true, he's upset. But he also knows that this is supposed to be a good thing, a big deal, and making it about himself is selfish and cruel of him. He can't help feeling hurt, but he can help how he reacts externally, can't he?
So he offers her a little smile and shakes his head, trying to push aside the idea that Erica went to Stiles for support before going to him- he, who is supposedly her best friend and the one who's been trying to help her with this all this time. Isaac remembers what happened last time a seizure blew up like this, remembers how awful and selfish he was toward her then. Maybe it wasn't such a surprise that she wouldn't trust him with this.
Maybe it's his fault.]
Nah, don't worry about it. You- you wouldn't want to get my hopes up. I know it's not the easiest thing to talk about.
[He shrugs and lifts off of the frame, ready to move back through the apartment.]
[Even if he seems to shift away from that tense anger, she knows that it's not okay. Even if he says it is, it's not.]
I just wanted to get better and I didn't want you to worry that something could go wrong. I just wanted you to know that it had worked. [She still feels like she's saying it wrong. The shift of conversation is welcome, though. She nods.]
The sun room -- past the kitchen -- it's why I picked it. [She moves to head back that way, hoping he'll follow and not take the door out instead.]
I know you sleep with the window open sometimes and I thought -- in the winter the window being open is cold, but this way you can be outside without actually being outside. It's a glass ceiling, but we can put up those screens and some plants.
You're the only person I've shown it too and the only one that I need to make sure wants to live here. If you don't like it -- any of it, I'll keep looking.
[Isaac is fine with moving on- it's probably for the best anyway, and when he listens to what Erica is saying, there's a little twinge of guilt at the memory of his possession. Back when he thought it was her, when he was too paranoid to sleep inside.
Guilty or not though, it's a touching gesture and he nods.]
I... I like it, yeah. This is definitely a good place to be.
[The further away from that topic and thinking about him being upset with her, the easier it is for her to just relax.]
I really liked it. I figure we can paint, steal the furniture from Hel... because, who is gonna miss it... maybe find some other stuff. Eventually, it'll be nice.
One of Sam's friends from home is in Thor. Maybe I can ask her to help? [Brittany will help. I write her. It's in the fine print that I can make her do whatever I want.]
Either way, it'll fill the space up. [She turns to look at him, ALL THE HOPE IN THE WORLD IS IN HER EYES.] So, we'll take it?
[Erica just grins. She knows that she jumped the gun finding the place, Derek had said he would. She knows that she kept her healing from him, but she hopes that'll pass. They've gotten through a lot worse disasters than that.]
Good. I mean, I just - I really wanted to come through with this. Do we want to ask Derek or is this a give him some more time... type thing?

I do like this place though. Good location, too.

[But he's laughing at the mental image anyway.]

If he wants to live with us, he can ask us about it. We gave him every chance.

[She'll probably try again, later, but for now she's fine if it's just them.]
I'll sign the papers tomorrow and bring them back to you so you can sign, too.

[He nods.]
Is that it?
